How to avoid the odor of injection molding?

1. Strictly control the use of additives
The catalyst tertiary amine used in the production of polyurethane foam will bring a strong odor and fog on the interior windows of the car. We can find these amine substitutes using polyhydroxy compounds. Polyhydroxy compounds are not only polyurethane molecules The components of the chain are also catalytically active, and some polyhydroxy compounds can even replace half of the tertiary amine catalysts, so that the odor of the injection molded products becomes lighter.  
2. Choose a purer resin
In many plastic molds, especially in polyvinyl chloride, styrene, polyethyl acetate and acrylate, the residual trace monomers will have an unpleasant odor. It is better to use odorless resins.
3. Pay attention to the use of adsorbents
If a small amount of zeolite is filled in the polymer, the effect of removing the odor of the material can be achieved. Zeolite has a lot of crystalline voids that can trap small gas molecules that have odors.
